Stepping off the plane into zero degree temperatures with snow falling almost instantly is defiantly one grand welcome into Austria. This country is absolutely stunning in Winter – white blankets of snow covering every surface accompanied by towering mountains as far as the eye could see. It felt like I was standing in a postcard, picture moment the entire stay. While we were here we spent majority of the time skiing and freezing our a**** off yet again…although there is something very different about the dry cold of the snow rather than the wet cold in London…almost more bearable as crazy as that sounds. We stayed in the sweetest little apartment that was very central to St Anton ski reserve surrounded by beautiful landscapes, making it a little easier to get out of bed on a cold morning. There were numerous hilarious ski falls that occurred between my mother, brother an I which resulted in more falls due to the amount of uncontrollable laughter. Sometimes I felt like a deer on ice compared to some of these professional ski instructors – not being able to control my feet at times.
Many adventurous walks did occur throughout our stay finding little delicate frozen lakes and water falls, making us feel like we were in a dream land (you will understand this when you see the photos). Highly recommend stay in Austria in winter, absolutely breath taking.
