This time last year little 17 year old me was blessed with the chance to sink my toes into Europe soil for the very first time. A long awaited dream that has now become a reality. London was our first destination on our long awaited trip, living up to each and every word I have heard down the grape vine. The winter London weather was just as horribly wet and cold as I had heard, and stubborn me thinking I know all and best bringing the bare minimum of proper winter clothing (although looking back that gave me more of an excuse to shop for it) to say the least I froze my absolute a*** off. Here we ventured down the renowned Oxford street, The London Eye, Buckingham Palace, The Wax museum, Big Ben, Trafalgar Square and the tourist list goes on. As we were there around Christmas time there were Christmas markets and Fairs galore, helping spread the festive spirit. Once I heard about the one being held in Hyde Park it shot straight to the top of my list of things to do – as I absolutely love markets. If you are ever in London around Christmas time I 150% recommend going to these markets!!
This stay largely consisted of eating at every delicatessen, living off Nutella crepes and buying items of clothing to blend in with the winter fashion trends of the time. All I can say now is that I cannot wait to come back for a longer stay next time (and preferably in spring when it’s a bit warmer and it doesn’t get dark at 3pm haha). Until next time London.
Accommodation: Holiday Villa London – 37 Leinster Gardens, London
I was situated at a cosy little hotel that was very central to trendy cafes, restaurants, shops and bus stops that regularly travel into the city. This hotel is also directly walkable to the sweetest park where you can take really nice walks and soak in the season.

~Buckingham Palace~ (get there extra early to get a good position as you can see there is a very big crowd that comes to watch)
